A new toxin antitoxin system was discovered in the human gastric pathogen Helicobacter pylori. This new TA system is actually conserved in many epsilon proteobacteria. It shares striking similarities with other TA previously described in Escherichia coli like hok/sok and ldr/rdl TA systems.
